DANCE TEAM COACH
Job Overview
Providence Pirates is seeking a new Dance Team Coach! This person will be responsible developing the first ever Providence Pirates Dance Team. Some duties include: recruiting, holding tryouts, organizing practices, game day and team events, teaching new and innovative routines, while developing technique, conditioning, and team unity.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
Minimum of two years coaching experience
Possess creativity, innovation, discipline, motivation, responsibility, maturity and a positive attitude;
Ability to work on weekends (games will be Saturday/Sunday) - 10-12 home games schedule.
Compensation
• Position is commission only as the coach can earn money by selling raffle tickets (keep all proceedings), tickets sales (percentage), sponsorships sales (percentage), and more.
• No benefits (health insurance, retirement, PTO, paid sick-time)
BASKETBALL/GAMEDAY OPERATIONS INTERN

Job Overview
Providence Pirates is professional basketball team in Providence, Rhode Island. We're proud to represent Rhode Island on the national scene by bring in family friendly and affordable entertainment to Ocean State residents.

As our team is getting bigger by the day and we are gearing up for our first ever full-season, we are looking for a dedicated operations intern who is willing to learn and must be available on weekends between November-April.
Responsibilities​​​
​
Basketball/Gameday Operations Intern position requires a highly motivated, knowledgeable and dynamic individual whose accountable, can assist in games, camps, leagues, clinic activities as a coach, table staff, statistician, game film, etc.
​
The duties and responsibilities of a Basketball Operations Intern include:

​Assist in activities and responsibilities associated with daily operations of games, camps, leagues
-
Record home and away games and/or help with statistics
-
Other duties as assigned by General Manager and/or Head Coach

Attend weekly staff meetings and individual meetings via Zoom
-
Must attend all Home games and some away games (Saturdays/Sundays)

Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships

Organizational and time-management skills

Keeping up with current trends

Currently a junior or senior in college or graduate student, in pursuit of a degrees in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Sports Management or related field

Compensation
• UNPAID internship to earn credit towards your course (*Contact your college advising office for more information on academic credit.*)
