In an back and forth showdown at the Boys and Girls Club of Pawtucket last night, the Pirates took down the visiting Bennington Martens. The final score, 128-115, has the fans of both teams on the edge of their seats most of the night.
Our Player of the Game was Armani Baker! Baker led the way for the Pirates scoring 32 points with 11 rebounds 3 blocks while shooting 12-12 from the field. Baker was a force all game and was basically unstoppable for the entirety of the game. Before the game we talked to Armani and he was asked how he prepared for the game, “I went to practice Tuesday and Thursday." Seems as if practice worked well for Armani and the rest of the team.

Tom Garrick Jr and Shane DeRosa also played important roles in the Pirates win. Garrick Jr and DeRosa had 18 and 27 points respectively. Michael Mendes had the play of the night with an unreal put-back slam over a Martens defender.
The Pirates are back in action on November 11th in Long Island, NY vs the Hoop Dragons! The Hoop Dragons enter the game 1-1 and ranked the #23 team in the ABA. This will be both teams toughest test yet as they split the season series 1-1 last year. Both teams won on the road. This is one of most anticipated games of the season in the ABA East Region. Tip-off is set for 6:00pm.
