Pirates defeat the Mass Wolves; Move to 3-1.

November 20, 2023 (Providence, RI) - Coming off a tough loss in New York, the Pirates used a week of practice to get back into the win column against the Mass Wolves on the road. The Pirates traveled to Taunton, MA where they would take down the Wolves 122-96 and move to 3-1 on the season.
Our Player of the Game was Shane DeRosa! DeRosa led the way for the Pirates scoring 25 points with 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Shane was a force all game playing a critical role on the offense for the Pirates. After a struggling from the 3pt line last week in NY, DaRosa definitely found his rhythm shooting 5-7 from behind the arc and leading Pirates to a win over a very solid Mass Wolves team while on the road.

Armani Baker, Kevin Briggs and Tom Garrick Jr also both continued to show their dominance on the court this season as they both dropped 20 and 19 points respectively. Both Baker and Garrick Jr have become very important pieces to this Pirates offense. Briggs continued his double-double streak as he recorded 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Off the bench, Rael Handy and Avery DeBrito played a large role in the win against the Wolves. Both shot over 50% from the field and made a difference when their numbers were called on Saturday.
